Paulo Prochno is a Clinical Professor of Strategy at the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business. He is the Assistant Dean for part-time MBA and online programs and was previously Associate Chair of the Management and Organizations department. Dr. Prochno earned his Ph.D. in management from INSEAD, his MBA from Vanderbilt University and his B.Eng. in industrial engineering from the University of São Paulo.

He has written articles in the areas of knowledge management, organizational routines, cross-border management and manufacturing strategy.  Dr. Prochno teaches strategy courses in Executive Development programs, MBA, M.Sc. and undergraduate programs, having won multiple teaching awards. He held multiple roles at the Strategic Management Society, including chair of its Teaching Community.
