Its central character, Mame Yauto Faye was recently awarded a prestigious Berkeley’s Oasis Award as one of three “women who are changing the Sahel.” The other protagonists are Amadou Diaw, Founder and President of Senegal’s Institut Supérieur de Management (ISM), Eric Guichard, Founder and CEO of GRAVITAS Capital, Michael Leenders and Louise Mauffette of Canada’s Ivey Business School; Lluis Renart of Barcelona’s IESE Business School; and last but not least, Conrad Person, Michael Bzdak and Rene Kiamba of Johnson&Johnson (J&J), the champions of that company’s Management Development Institute (MDI).

Austin Okere HEC Pairs Launches Cutting Edge Online Master’s in Innovation & Entrepreneurship on Coursera

In collaboration with Coursera HEC Paris has launched its first entirely online international degree program, the online Master’s in Innovation and Entrepreneurship (OMIE). HEC Paris partnered with Coursera to provide students with the opportunity to work in teams over a six-month on a selected project, from the planning stages to bringing the idea to life.

Out in the field ESCA Ecole de Management Recognized by the Moroccan State

The Kingdom of Morocco has recently reached an important reform in higher education by conferring the State recognition to very few private institutions in highly regulated domains (Architecture, Health & Medicine, Engineering and Management). ESCA Ecole de Management is one of the eight prestigious institutions that received this recognition in early April.

Website homepage Howard University MBAs Win University of Maryland CIBER’s 3rd Emerging Markets Case Competition

For a third year, Guy Pfeffermann, GBSN’s CEO, sat on the jury for the MBA student case competition where nine student teams from eight top U.S. schools competed. The students were handed a business school case involving a century-old company that manufactures and distributes ATMs worldwide. This year’s winning team was from Howard University.

Georgetown University Workshop on Teaching Professional Ethics Through Experiential Learning
The workshop is designed to acquaint those who will be teaching business ethics in both business schools and philosophy departments with the various individual techniques Georgetown has developed and train those who are interested in how to use them in an integrated manner. This year’s workshop will be held at Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business on June 1 – 3. The workshop is free of charge. Travel and accommodation are not included.

Call for Proposals: eLearning Africa Conference 2017
With the theme, “Learning in Context,” this year’s eLearning Africa conference will be in the Republic of Mauritius on September 27-29, 2017. In Africa, context is all-important. As new communication technologies extend the reach of opportunity, it is crucial for educators, policy makers, partners and investors to take account of the local context and conditions. Become involved in shaping the agenda by submitting a session proposal. Deadline: Tuesday, May 2nd.

WU Vienna University of Economics and Business Full Professor of Operations Management

WU – Vienna University of Economics and Business is currently inviting applications for the position of a Full Professor of Operations Management at the Department of Information Systems and Operations. Based in the Department of Information Systems and Operations, the new professor will join the Institute for Production Management and contribute to research, teaching, and service activities.
