Associate Professorship in Empirical Research Methods: University of St. Gallen


The University of St.Gallen and its School of Management are seeking candidates for an Associate Professorship in Empirical Research Methods in the management sciences with a strong empirical research background in the cognitive and behavioral sciences. Candidates are expected to have experience in quantitative research methods such as experimental research (lab, field, and online experiments) and/or new modeling techniques in the social sciences and business research (such as machine learning). The triple accredited (EQUIS, AACSB, AMBA) university offers a stimulating research environment with a professional behavioral research lab for experimental research activities and a large network of companies to engage in field studies.


The position involves teaching in both German and English at all levels, with an emphasis on introductory classes in empirical research methods in the Bachelor of Management as well as methodological support for researchers and students at the University of St.Gallen.


We are looking for candidates with both an internationally recognized research track record and publications in the leading psychology, business, or social science journals, as well as excellent teaching skills. Ideal candidates should address the challenges of a digitally transforming society as evidenced by the candidate’s research program and innovative teaching methods. Experience in the acquisition of third-party funding is desirable.

We seek candidates per February 1st 2021 or by mutual agreement.
