Christina’s areas of research include management of large-scale transformation projects, including digital transformation, integrated healthcare, IT and strategic capabilities, and Enterprise Systems. Her research is built on longitudinal fieldwork with major private and public sector organizations. Her paper on digital alignment was voted by AIS Senior Scholars as one of the best papers in the IS field in 2019, as well as the 2018 Best Paper in the Journal of Strategic Information Systems. Her earlier work on identifying and addressing misalignments in Enterprise Systems was awarded the Stafford Beer award jointly by the European Journal of Information Systems and Knowledge Management Research and Practice. She has served as Senior Editor at the Journal of Strategic Information Systems and MIS Quarterly Executive.
She is a Fellow of the Association of Information Systems, and has been awarded the Nanyang Service Award, and the National Day Award Public Administration Medal (Silver). She has served as Head of the division of IT and Operations Management, Director of the Information Management Research Center, and Associate Dean at the Nanyang Business School. At the University level, she also served as the Associate Provost for Faculty Affairs. She was also elected to the NTU President’s Advisory Board and as a member of the inaugural Senate Steering Committee. Internationally, she has served as co-chair or faculty mentor at many doctoral consortiums and faculty development workshops at the International Conferences of Information Systems (ICIS), OCIS Division of the Academy of Management, and Pacific Conference of Information Systems.
Her teaching interests are cross-disciplinary. She was involved in the design of NTU’s double degree in Business and Computing, the Renaissance Engineering Program, and the business school’s new specialization in business analytics. She has taught strategic technology innovation management to students in the REP and MBA programs. More recently, she has played a primary role in the continuing development and delivery of faculty leadership development programs in NTU.
Education
She received her Bachelor of Accountancy (Hons) degree from the National University of Singapore, and her PhD in Management from the University of California, Los Angeles.
Research Interests
Professor Soh’s research interests include IT and strategic capabilities, management of complex projects, enterprise systems implementation. Her current interests include healthcare IT and healthcare ecosystems for integrated care.
