Wim Naudé is Professor in Business and Entrepreneurship at the Maastricht University and Professor in Development Economics at Maastricht School of Management in the Netherlands. He is also a Research Fellow at the IZA Institute for Labor Economics in Bonn, Germany. Between 2012 and 2018 he was Dean at Maastricht School of Management. Currently he is Visiting Professor in the research area for Technology, Innovation, Marketing and Entrepreneurship at RWTH Aachen University in Germany. He is one of the world’s leading scholars on entrepreneurship and development. His work is used by all of the global development organizations, such as the United Nations, World Bank, OECD to help design policies for innovative, entrepreneurial societies. His most recent publications include a book published by Oxford University Press (2015,2017) on Industrialization in the 21st Century, which includes chapters dealing with ‘climate friendly’ industrialization; a book by Springer (2018) on Sustainable Urban Development and Technology, and reports for UNIDO and the Bertelsmann Stiftung on technological innovation and inclusive growth.
