Sangeet Chowfla is the President and CEO of the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC), an organization of leading graduate business schools and owner of the GMAT, NMAT, and Executive Assessment exams used by over 7,000 programs worldwide. GMAT also manages mba.com, businessbecause.com and the MBA Tours company. It is the leader in the discovery and evaluation of talent for programs of study in management and business education. GMAC’s vision is to be the global leader in connecting talent and aspiration with opportunity. The organization’s priorities are to promote graduate management education and attract a qualified and diversified candidate pool from around the world.
Sangeet is a global executive with a focus on general management, strategy development, international growth, and new business development. His early career was with Hewlett-Packard Company in positions in Europe, the Middle East, Asia-Pacific, and the US, culminating in his tenure as GM of the Inkjet Media Division. Subsequently, Sangeet joined Timeline Ventures, a VC partnership, participating in both acquisition and post-acquisition efforts. He then became the EVP for markets and products of Comviva Technologies, a leading Indian telecommunications software company. He was appointed CEO of GMAC in 2013.
A global citizen, Sangeet has lived and worked in India, Dubai, Greece, Germany, Singapore and the USA.
