Logistics Hub for Africa

The Logistics Hub for Africa is a virtual, pan-African center of logistics education and research, anchored in the expertise of African business schools and coordinated by Edinburgh Business School. It is structured in two phases. The first phase involves the development of a flexible, accessible, and relevant postgraduate program in logistics focused on African contexts. The second phase involves the establishment of theme-based research labs to advance research in areas of need relevant to Africa, including a doctoral training infrastructure to support the next generation of researchers and educators specialized in solving the logistics challenges facing Africa.

African Leadership Impact Hub

The African Leadership Impact Hub (ALIH), led by Loughborough University, brings together universities, businesses, governments, development organizations, and institutional leaders to rethink how leadership is understood, developed, and embedded across Africa. Rather than focusing solely on developing individual leaders, ALIH adopts a systems-based approach, recognizing that effective leadership is shaped by organizational culture, institutions, governance structures, and the wider social context in which leaders operate. Through research, collaboration, and practical implementation, ALIH aims to develop leadership solutions that are grounded in African realities and capable of creating lasting institutional and societal impact.

Family Business Research Hub

The Family Business Research Hub connects business schools across borders to support family enterprises, and in turn, contribute to healthier economies, social cohesion, and environmental sustainability. Beginning with a regional focus on the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) in partnership with the Onsi Sawiris School of Business at the American University in Cairo, the Family Business Research Hub aims to improve practices and global competitiveness among family firms, leveraging business schools’ abilities to serve as trusted conveners and provide opportunities for family business leaders to learn, reflect, and engage in structured dialogue.
