Artificial intelligence (AI) is reshaping how financial systems assess climate risk, allocate capital, and report on environmental, social and governance (ESG) data. These uses bring real opportunities to advance climate finance and inclusive development, while also raising new questions about accountability, data quality, market concentration, systemic risk, and the energy and resource footprint of AI itself.
Join us on November 4, 2026 for a panel discussion unpacking the implications of AI in climate finance, organized in collaboration with Cambridge University Press & Assessment, Tsinghua University, and the Central Bank of Brazil. The session supports the Cambridge Forum on Corporate Climate Governance themed issue “Governing AI for Climate Finance,” which invites submissions of research articles, reviews, case studies, and policy and practice perspectives through January 5, 2027.
