Mona Koushan

Dr Mona Koushan is a Lecturer in Operations and Supply Chain Management at UC Business School, University of Canterbury. She holds a PhD from the University of Otago, where her research focused on improving healthcare service delivery through scheduling, simulation, and capacity management. Mona has extensive teaching and research experience across operations management, supply chain management, project management, sustainability, and service operations. Prior to joining the University of Canterbury, she taught at Victoria University of Wellington and Khayyam University. Alongside her academic career, Mona has more than 10 years of industry experience in project management and quality management systems consulting across manufacturing and service organisations. Her research and professional interests include sustainable and socially responsible supply chains, healthcare operations, simulation and analytics, and the application of emerging technologies to operational and societal challenges.
