GBSN and How to Change the World are delighted to invite GBSN members to join our Global Business Student Changemaker program.
Our new Global Business Student Changemaker program is designed to provide unique experiences for GBSN member students that catalyze international collaboration, provide virtual global mobility opportunities, contribute to sustainable development and community engagement, and advance academic excellence.
Aim
To identify students at participating GBSN member schools with high potential to be a positive Changemaker throughout their careers; and to provide those students with international collaboration and virtual mobility experiences that enhance their skills, grow their networks and prepare them to make a professional impact.
Program overview
Each participating GBSN member identifies a cohort of high-potential students to join the program. These students will be recognised as “Changemakers” – a distinction they can showcase via their CVs and LinkedIn.
Changemakers participate in two core components:
- An intensive, multi-university and interdisciplinary Global Sustainability Project Bootcamp run by How to Change the World§
- A series of curated and highly interactive global virtual events (e.g. expert roundtables; networking), oriented toward exploring career opportunities and developing a global network of peers with similar interests
§ During the Bootcamp, Changemaker students will benefit from engaging with students from other disciplines and institutions beyond GBSN members.
Steps to participate
All GBSN members interested are warmly welcome to participate. Upon confirming participation, you will be asked to identify the main point of contact at your school for this program. Then our program team (comprised of GBSN and How to Change the World staff) will liaise with and support that point of contact throughout the selection of students and scheduling/confirming students’ participation in the program activities.
Cost of participation
While there will be a cost to participate, GBSN and How to Change the World are committed to making this program as accessible as possible for all GBSN members. As such, participation in this program will cost less than How to Change the World’s normal partnership model, while both retaining all the same benefits and adding exclusive interactive events for the Changemaker network. During our initial conversation about the program, we are very happy to discuss the best option for your school’s current context.
