GBSN and Ecobank Academy are pleased to congratulate the inaugural graduating class of the 2022 Ellevate Leadership Training Program!
On Wednesday August 10th, GBSN and Ecobank Academy held a virtual ceremony for the inaugural graduating class of 2022. The cohort of Ellevate graduates come from 10 African countries: Cameroon, Uganda, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Zambia, Ghana, Kenya, Senegal, and Zimbabwe.
“We were excited not only to bring six top GBSN business schools to this program, but also to engage their very best professors,” said GBSN CEO Dan LeClair. “They were globally recognized leaders on their respective topics, experienced in the African context, effective communicators and teachers, and genuinely interested in the learners.”
This unique training program was designed and delivered by the Ecobank Academy in partnership with GBSN and supported by its members: AUC School of Business, INSEAD Africa Initiative and INSEAD Emerging Markets Institute (EMI), Lagos Business School, MIT Sloan Global Programs, Stanford Seed, and the University of Cape Town Graduate School of Business. The holistic leadership development program is meant to deliver quantifiable gains to African Women SMEs, with the following goals in mind:
- Access leadership competencies
- Defined expected outcomes
- Develop leadership skills
- Action learning and tracking progress
- Reinforce continuous learning
