Daphne Kis is the CEO of WorldQuant University (WQU), a global not-for-profit whose mission is to make advanced, quality education accessible to capable students everywhere by leveraging technology at scale to deliver entirely online, tuition-free programs in the data sciences. With its MSc program in Financial Engineering and Applied Data Science module, WQU currently serves nearly 4000 students in over 90 countries.
The arc of Kis’s career has been far from traditional. As a dynamic entrepreneur, she has been at the forefront of identifying, chronicling, and transforming trends in technology, education, and business for decades.
Passionate about global entrepreneurship opportunities, especially for women, Kis serves on the board of Springboard Enterprise’s Tech Council and the advisory boards of SheEO and Mindshift Capital. She is also a member of the executive committee on the national board of Young Audiences Arts for Learning, an affiliate network helping children apply the arts to advance learning skills. With the help of over 4500 teaching artists, Young Audiences serves over five million children around the U.S.
Kis is a frequent public speaker at industry events including the World Economic Forum at Davos, the Milken Institute Global Conference, ASU/GSV Summit, and the Gender-Smart Investing Summit.
