Global Humanitarian Logistics Competence Center (GHLCC), DHL
Fatima Ait Bendawad is the Head of DHL’s Global Humanitarian Logistics Competence Center (GHLCC), a best-practice facility designed to provide end-to-end supply chain support for humanitarian aid worldwide. Based in Dubai, Fatima is responsible for overseeing the deployment of DHL’s humanitarian logistics services globally – including air and ocean freight shipments, customs clearance, and warehousing.
Ms. Bendawad brings with her over 20 years of experience in international logistics in the Middle East within operations, business development, sales, and marketing in the aid and relief supply chain. She first joined DHL Global Forwarding in 2010 in Dubai to set up the Aid and Relief Services Department, working closely with NGOs and United Nations (UN) agencies to offer supply chain solutions to humanitarian organizations.
Ms. Bendawad holds a Bachelor’s Degree in English Language and Literature from Mohammed V University in Rabat, Morocco. She also holds several qualifications in Freight Forwarding and Supply Chain from the National Association of Freight and Logistics (NAFL) in the United Arab Emirates. Hailing originally from Morocco, she is fluent in English, Arabic, and French.
