Fayrouz brings a diverse set of skills, from Market Intelligence and Research, to corporate Finance and Fundraising, to Project Management, as well as five years of experience across different industries.
Before joining GBSN, Fayrouz was the co-founder and Managing Partner of Go Deal, a Moroccan e-commerce startup specializing in Apparel & Fashion. During her tenure at Go Deal, Fayrouz oversaw Finance and Accounting, Business Development, and Operations. Prior to that, Fayrouz was a Market Intelligence Analyst at a Knowledge Process Outsourcing startup in Morocco, working exclusively with the Boston Consulting Group and supporting their Knowledge Management and Consulting efforts in the EMEA region. Fayrouz provided a multitude of services, from Ad-Hoc request completion to periodical knowledge product updates, working closely with BCG’s Insurance Practice in Germany, France, Japan, the U.K., Switzerland and Morocco.
During her summer internship for Cornell University’s MBA program, Fayrouz worked with a biotech startup as a Finance & Strategy summer associate, successfully raising the company’s first ever round of pre-seed funding. Also, Fayrouz was a Lead Research Assistant at Cornell University’s Emerging Markets Institute for over two years, performing data collection and analysis for the Emerging Markets Report, the key yearly publication of the institute.
Fayrouz earned a dual master’s degree in Finance and Control from HEM Business School in Morocco and Jean Moulin Lyon III University in France, as well as an MBA from Cornell University. She is polyglot and speaks Arabic, French, English, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese.
