We are excited to share a unique opportunity for GBSN faculty and experts to volunteer as mentors in the LIFT Data Program, an open innovation initiative led by the Central Bank of Brazil in partnership with Fenasbac.
The program supports 20 competitively selected project teams developing data-driven solutions using public databases, spanning areas such as finance, sustainability, digital transformation and financial inclusion.
These projects are now in a critical development phase, working toward a proof of concept by July 31st. Throughout this process, teams can request ad-hoc mentorship sessions with specialists in areas such as technology, product development, finance, economics, or sustainability. That’s where your expertise and mentorship can make a meaningful impact.
About the Mentorship Experience:
- Project teams review a list of approved mentors and request sessions based on expertise alignment.
- If selected, you will receive a summary of the project, proposed goals, agenda, and supporting materials to prepare for the session.
- Sessions are virtual, typically 1 hour, and entirely voluntary and flexible based on your availability.
- Mentorship is not guaranteed, as it depends on project demand, but it’s a valuable way to engage with cutting-edge innovation and expand your network, and you’ll be supported by the LIFT Data team along the way.
- Mentoring will take place from now through July 30th.
What is the LIFT Data program?
LIFT DATA is an open innovation program that promotes the development of technological solutions based on the analysis of public data. Created by the Central Bank of Brazil (BCB) in partnership with Fenasbac, the program challenges companies, data scientists, developers and experts to create solutions for issues relevant to society, related to the dimensions of the BC# Agenda. The 2025 edition is focused on data-based solutions for sustainability and green financing challenges.
