Senior Lecturer

Dr. Alice Klettner is a Senior Lecturer at the UTS Business School, University of Technology Sydney and a member of the Centre for Business and Sustainable Development. She has a background as a lawyer and practised as a solicitor both in the UK for Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and in Australia at Harmers Workplace Lawyers before joining UTS. Alice has a BA in Natural Sciences from Cambridge University, a Masters in International Law from Sydney University and a PhD from the University of Technology Sydney.
Her research examines corporate governance and responsible business from both a legal and management perspective, particularly the impact of soft law on organisational behaviour. Research interests include: the role and responsibilities of boards of directors; gender diversity in leadership; and regulation of corporate sustainability. Recent publications include articles in the Journal of Business Ethics, the British Journal of Management and the book Corporate Governance Regulation: The Changing Roles and Responsibilities of Boards of Directors (2017) Routledge.
