Angela Owusu-Ansah is a full professor who was educated in Ghana (BA in psychology with sociology), Spain (MS in International Educational Administration, and certificate in TESOL), the United States (Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration, Quantitative Research Methods and Social Science Statistics, and Instructional Technology), and United Kingdom (a residency at Oxford University).
She is currently, the Provost (Vice Chancellor/Chief Academic Officer) at Ashesi University. She also currently serves as a national commissioner for the Council for Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP), Washington DC. She was formerly a Professor of Doctoral Studies and she taught Research (quantitative and qualitative), statistics and assessment; leadership; and creativity, inquiry, and innovation.She served as Faculty Chair of Dissertation Research and Innovation Fellow at Concordia University, Portland OR. She served as the Associate Dean atThe Center for Access & Successat Elon University; the Associate Dean of the School of Education; the Director of the Master of Education Program; and Coordinator of Unit Assessment and Accreditation, at Elon University. Prior, she served as Assistant Dean and Associate Professor at Samford University, Orlean Bullard Beeson School of Education. She was the originator and editor of The Educational Collaborativejournal and reviews research journals such as The Educational Forum, Kappa Delta Pi. Her research interests include assessment of: quantitative literacy impact on student learning outcomes and intercultural understanding, e.g., her current work with Susan G. Komen Foundation, Portland, Oregon, on awareness among African American women. Her hobbies include painting with acrylic on stretched canvas & learning how to play basketball.
