Brian currently has a number of business investments that he supports and advises as well as operating as a strategic advisor to a number of SME’s who are on a journey of growth. He also currently works as a P/t Teaching Fellow at Lancaster University in the highly acclaimed LUMS Business School in the Entrepreneurship and Strategy Department. Brian has had a varied career to date, setting out at 16 joining the Scots Guards in the British Army, he then transitioned to the Fire Service with Lancashire Fire & Rescue Service before founding Safety Management (UK) in 2002, he was fortunate enough with the help of some brilliant people along to way to grow SMUK into on of the largest providers for Fire Risk Assessments in UK before exiting via sale to compliance experts Citation in 2018. Finally Brian chairs the board of trustees at the Michelle Jurd Trust.
