Associate Director of the Doctoral Academy at Strathmore University. She obtained both her Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) and Master of Commerce (MCom) degrees at Strathmore University, and her PhD at the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland. Her teaching and research areas are in Sustainability Reporting, Creating Shared Value, Financial Reporting, Corporate Fraud, and Sustainable Finance. In addition to teaching and research, Dr. Wachira has also been involved in the training and consulting of SMEs operating within Nairobi in collaboration with various companies. Currently, she is involved in developing and facilitating customized programs for organizations seeking to embed sustainability strategies into their core business operations. Dr. Wachira is the Vice Chair for UN-PRME Chapter Africa. She is a member of the Shared Value Africa Initiative Council of 8 and is also actively involved in the B Academics Global Engagement Committee representing Africa.
