Felipe Calderon recently returned to the Philippines after working for the Business Development Bank of Canada in Vancouver for 22.5 years where he held a variety of field and leadership positions. His extensive banking experience also includes syndicated lending and trade financing in the Philippines and Hong Kong.
Felipe is a Canadian CPA, CMA and holds a BSc in Agribusiness Management from the University of the Philippines at Los Baños and an MSc in International Banking and Financial Studies from Heriot-Watt University, Scotland. He obtained his PhD in Management from the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland. His dissertation was on the topic of sustainable lending.
He is currently the Head of the Washington SyCip Graduate School of Business at the Asian Institute of Management (AIM) in the Philippines. He is also the Executive Director of AIM’s Gov. Jose B. Fernandez, Jr. Center for Sustainable Finance. In addition, he is AIM’s representative to the United Nations initiative on Principles for Responsible Management Education.
