Lhacen BELHCEN studied Economics at Hassan University in Casablanca. He joined ESCA Ecole de Management in 1995 as a professor of strategic management and trainers for executives and managers. Since January 2015, he manages The ESCA EM Entrepreneurship & Leadership Institute. The research areas of L. BELHCEN are International Entrepreneurship and Family Business Groups in the MENA region.
He published a case study named « A model of South-North Technology Transfer: the High Payment Systems HPS case » in collaboration with ABITTAN Yoni. This Business case received the 2013 EFMD Case Writing Award in the category of Management Practices award in the Euro-Med region. Dr. Belhcen contributed to one of the best sellers of the field of Management « LE MANAGEOR » through a chapter on « Management and Managers in the MENA region: the case of North Africa » (co-written with BOUSTA Hamid). He also wrote papers on topics like entrepreneurship: « Governance, Entrepreneurship and CSR in the African context » (2014) and « Internationalization of family businesses: the case of Moroccan Family Business ».
