Madeleine leads Policy & Market Strategy for ENGIE Distributed Solar & Storage (formerly SoCore Energy) and is a member of ENGIE’s cross-business Government & Regulatory Affairs team.  Since joining ENGIE in 2012, Madeleine has helped shape policy to grow markets for distributed solar and storage, while also directing business strategy to reflect market opportunities.  She enjoys a close engagement with the key functional teams at DS&S, including project development, origination, commercial strategy, M&A and delivery.

Prior to joining ENGIE, Madeleine was a Senior Policy Advocate with the Environmental Law & Policy Center in Chicago, where she was involved in renewable energy policy development and regulatory proceedings across the Midwest.  Madeleine previously served as Deputy Director of Policy & Communications for the City of Knoxville, TN where she led downtown redevelopment activities and launched the City’s Energy & Sustainability Initiative.  She has also spent time in the Northeast working with the City of New Haven, CT and the non-profit Acadia Center.

Madeleine has a Master of Environmental Management from Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies and a Bachelor of Arts from Carleton College.  She lives in Oak Park, IL just outside of Chicago with her husband and four children.
