Mirwais Nahzat

An award-winning public speaker and international development professional, Mirwais Nahzat is Kardan University’s Chief Operating Officer. Over the past 15 years, he has led major international development programs, primarily focusing on education in Ghana, Sri Lanka, Malawi, Pakistan and Afghanistan. As the Chief Operating Officer at Kardan University, he leads the University’s strategic planning, people operations, sustainability, strategic communications, enrollment and policy development functions. Before joining Kardan University, he worked as the CANADEM’s Country Director for Afghanistan, leading the Canada-funded Afghanistan Technical Assistance Program (ATAP). Mirwais holds a master’s degree in higher education leadership and administration from Royal Roads University.
