Dr. Sena Agbodjah Agyepong is currently a faculty member with the Business Administration Department of Ashesi University. With a background in Construction Management, Sena has in the past 4 years been engaged at different points teaching and training entrepreneurs. She started this entrepreneurial journey by training high school students entrepreneurship at a summer high school enrichment programme at Ashesi. She then took over running of the entrepreneurship capstone option at the University, and served as the lead of the curriculum development team and later as Faculty lead for Ashesi’s flagship Foundations of Design and Entrepreneurship class – a core course in design thinking, design and entrepreneurship to enrich Ashesi’s freshman experience as well as help the University achieve its mission of training ethical entrepreneurial leaders to transform Africa. Sena is primarily interested in the opportunity space analysis and business modelling aspects of the entrepreneurial process, with a focus on young people. She is additionally working with start-upers in rural Ghana on a project with Solidaridad West Africa, aimed at poverty alleviation and youth empowerment by equipping youth in Cocoa growing areas with skills in entrepreneurship and aiding them to start businesses. Her life’s mission is to help develop a vibrant innovative entrepreneurial ecosystem within her immediate and wider environment, for the benefit of Ghana, the sub-region to affect the entire African continent.
