Accra is the capital and largest city of Ghana, situated along the Gulf of Guinea on the Atlantic Ocean. It is a vibrant and dynamic metropolis that blends deep historical roots with modern energy. As the political, economic, and cultural heart of the nation, Accra is a hub of creativity, innovation, and tradition.
The city’s rich history is reflected in its colonial-era architecture, bustling markets, and historical landmarks such as Independence Arch and Jamestown. At the same time, contemporary Accra thrives with a growing arts scene, diverse cuisine, and a lively atmosphere that showcases the warmth and hospitality for which Ghana is known.
Located in the Greater Accra Region, the city enjoys a coastal climate and serves as a gateway to the rest of the country. From its energetic urban life to its access to beautiful beaches and cultural heritage sites, Accra offers a unique experience that bridges the past and the future.

Weather in Accra in November
In November, Accra enjoys warm and relatively dry weather as it transitions from the rainy season into the drier Harmattan period. Daytime temperatures typically reach around 86°F / 30°C, with nighttime temperatures dipping slightly to about 75°F / 24°C. Humidity levels remain high, but rainfall is generally light, with only occasional showers expected throughout the month. We recommend packing lightweight, breathable clothing, sun protection such as hats and sunscreen, and a light rain jacket for any brief showers.
