GBSN Members are Invited to March’s Cross-Border Collab: Fostering the Growth of Sustainability Leaders
We are honored to have Ayat Soliman of the World Bank joining us for the March Collab. As the Regional Director for Sustainable Development for Eastern and Southern Africa she is responsible for setting policy direction and ensuring the integrated delivery of sustainable development programs in 26 countries across the region. Ms. Soliman’s knowledge will be invaluable as we discuss how GBSN Members can foster the growth of the sustainability leaders of the future.
Ms. Soliman has over 25 years of experience working on sustainability issues ranging from water, agriculture, social and urban development, in addition to the multitude of issues surrounding climate change in various regions around the world. She helps support communities and countries alike as they make the change to greener low carbon economies in an effort to combat many of the cross-cutting issues of climate change. This shift is having an impact on the labor market and is highlighting the importance of having strong public and private sector stakeholders to support sustainability projects, locally and globally.
In the March Collab, Ms. Soliman will help us examine a variety of questions surrounding sustainability in business schools including:
- What shifts do we see in terms of needed skills in the current sustainability labor market?
- How can business schools prepare their students to be effective leaders in the current sustainability sector?
- What can business schools do to support the sustainability efforts of their local communities and countries?
- How can business schools foster more effective public-private partnerships and leverage them to achieve their sustainability goals?
