Andrew Allen is the Assistant Dean of Strategic Engagement and Experiential Learning at Gies College of Business, at the University of Illinois. Andrew has been involved in experiential learning for nearly 15 years, and has taught experiential courses in the undergraduate, graduate and online programs at Gies and has been included on the list of ‘teachers ranked as excellent’. Andrew cares deeply about the future of higher education, in the US and globally. Andrew has lived in, worked in and traveled to Latin America, Africa, Europe and Asia, and speaks Spanish and moderate French. Prior to joining Gies, Andrew worked at KPMG in the Silicon Valley and was also the founder of an ed-tech startup recognized by IBM as an innovative venture in the higher ed space. Andrew received his BA in International Studies from Brigham Young University in 2005, and earned his MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management in 2010 and is currently pursuing a PhD in Education with the University of Illinois.
