How to Participate

Members will have the option to join the live sessions to participate in real-time, ask questions, and engage directly with our special guests. In addition to pre-selected questions, we value audience participation as an essential part of the experience. Live attendees will have the opportunity to pose their own questions during a dedicated segment at the end of the session. This interactive format ensures that your insights, curiosity, and concerns are heard and addressed in real time, fostering a truly collaborative environment. The Q&A will not be featured in the podcast and will only be available to members who join the live session. Whether you prefer the interactive experience of a live session or the flexibility of on-demand podcasts, The Global Exchange series is designed to fit your needs.

These interactive sessions go beyond simple discussions — they serve as a dynamic platform for active engagement, allowing members to collaborate and advance GBSN’s vision of fostering global partnerships among business schools to enhance the role of management education in addressing critical societal challenges. Co-facilitated by leading experts, topics are driven by the interests and feedback of our global network. We invite GBSN members to not only attend these exclusive conversations, but also shape their direction by suggesting topics for future conversations and by asking thought-provoking questions that might spark meaningful insights and actionable solutions.

Podcast Episodes

Ximena Rueda: No business operates independently of nature. This interconnectedness is too often overlooked in business and business education, but understanding it can open up powerful new opportunities.
In this episode, Ximena shares insights from her three years as co-chair of the IPBES Business and Biodiversity Assessment, a landmark report that offers a framework for how companies can measure and manage their impact on the natural world.

Tawnya Means: Drawing on a multi-year study of nearly 50 institutions, Tawnya unpacks the magnitude of the transformation that’s underway and discusses how to use AI “as a learning machine, not an answering machine.” The conversation covers the difference between cognitive offloading and cognitive surrender, how AI can support business faculty with instruction and pedagogy, and the importance of hands-on experimentation for faculty as they build AI literacy.

Margaret Andrews: What does it really take to become a better leader? According to leadership expert Margaret Andrews, the answer starts not with managing others, but with managing yourself. In this session, Margaret and Dan explore how personal experiences, values, and worldview shape your leadership style—and how self-awareness can be your most valuable leadership tool.

Ronit Avni: Ronit Avni, CEO of Localized, and Dan dig into the growing imperative for “carbon intelligence”—a baseline fluency in sustainability and climate-aware decision-making that is becoming increasingly important to workforce development. But that’s just one piece of what Ronit calls the “skills triad”: green literacy, virtual fluency, and AI competency.

Arunma Oteh: Listen to an inspiring conversation with Arunma Oteh, one of Africa’s most respected financial leaders and global changemakers, as she addresses the question: How can capital markets become a more powerful force in driving sustainable economic development and lifting millions out of poverty?

Mike Posner: Listen to Mike Posner, Jerome Kohlberg Professor of Ethics and Finance and the Director of the Center for Business and Human Rights at NYU’s Stern School of Business, as he addresses what lies at the root of the challenges global corporations face in addressing human rights failures in his new book, Conscience Incorporated.

Huy Nguyen Trieu: In an age where Artificial Intelligence is reshaping the very fabric of work, education, and societal systems, this session explores a critical question: How do we prepare individuals and institutions for relevance in an AI-driven world?

Andrew J. Hoffman: Michigan Professor and author of Business School and the Noble Purpose of the Market (released on April 8, 2025) has a candid conversation with GBSN CEO, Dan LeClair, about the strengths and limitations of business schools and their role in shaping the future of business and society.

Patrick Dunne OBE: Hear Patrick and Dan discuss insights from his book, Five Generations and explore how understanding and embracing the diverse perspectives, work styles, and expectations of five distinct generations can unlock team potential and drive solutions to today’s biggest development challenges.
