GBSN Members are Invited to June’s Cross-Border Collab: Insights on Leadership with Maurice Radebe

We are honored to have Head and Director of Wits Business School Maurice Radebe joining us for the June Collab. Formerly Executive Vice President responsible for Sasol’s Energy Business globally, Prof. Radebe has over 30 years of experience working in the energy sector with companies like Shell, Exel, and Sasol. Since 2013, Prof. Radebe has used his extensive knowledge of leadership and the energy industry to provide real life business experience to the learning environment of Wits Business School.

In our conversation with Prof. Radebe, we will delve into the core principles of leadership, and various other topics from his recently published book, The Fuel to Lead: Developing the next generation of leaders. Drawing on his extensive experience, Maurice will offer a wealth of ideas and strategies for those looking to enhance their own leadership abilities and support the development of the leaders of tomorrow. We will explore the challenges he faced throughout his career and discuss the importance of ethical leadership in life and business.

We hope GBSN Members will invite their colleagues to join us in a conversation with Maurice Radebe that promises to be an insightful and inspiring experience. We will explore questions like:

  • How has Prof. Radebe’s experience in the energy sector influenced his approach to leadership development, and how can these insights be applied in other industries?
  • What is the role of leadership in addressing pressing global challenges such as climate change and sustainable development?
  • How can business schools prioritize the development of ethical leadership among their students, and what strategies can we use to foster this kind of leadership?
