Eva Panetti is Assistant Professor in Management at the University of Naples Parthenope (Italy), where she teaches “Innovation and Business Design” and “International Business Strategy”. Firmly convinced of the importance of the university “Third Mission”, Eva combines her academic work on innovation ecosystems and entrepreneurship with policy design and implementation activity for the regional entrepreneurial ecosystem, including the participation in 2018 as a project manager to the MIT Sloan Regional Acceleration Entrepreneurship Program (REAP) for the Campania Region (South of Italy) and the co-design of the MIT Global Program with Parthenope University. In 2020, she was awarded the Guido Dorso Prize for the “Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Campania” project sponsored by the Senate of the Italian Republic. She was one of the proponents of the UNESCO Chair on “Entrepreneurship and innovation lifelong learning in business ecosystems of Mediterranean and MENA countries” awarded by Parthenope University in 2021 and she is currently working on the development of Blue-tech cluster in Naples. She is Visiting Professor at the University of Vilnius (Lithuania) and at Pacífico Business School (Perù). In 2017, she was a visiting scholar at the MIT Industrial Performance Center, where she investigated the Boston biotech ecosystem. Eva is the author of numerous publications on innovation ecosystems, university-business relations, entrepreneurship, regional innovation strategies and technology transfer. She is the author of the book “The Dynamics of Local Innovation Systems” (2019), published by Routledge.
