Bringing Experiential Learning to Malaysia

Conducted a workshop on how to establish and run action-based learning in Malaysia

GBSN organized and facilitated a faculty development workshop for Universiti Tun Abdul Razak in Kuala Lumpur. Representatives from a number of GBSN member schools participated in the workshop and presented their approaches to experiential learning through activities such as student consulting projects and discussed with Uni Razak faculty and leadership the pros and cons of the different approaches in order to identify the most appropriate one for the institution. Following the workshop, a team of University of California, Berkeley MBA students, through the Berkeley-‐Haas International Business Development program, worked with Universiti Tun Abdul Razak faculty, students and administration to further design and develop a pilot program for testing with Universiti Tun Abdul Razak students in 2013. Under mentorship by a faculty member, the four-member student team spent approximately 1000 hours on the project.
