The Global Business School Network (GBSN) announces the appointment of Veneta Andonova to the Board of Directors effective July 26, 2021.
GBSN is a nonprofit organization that partners with business schools, industry, foundations and aid agencies to improve access to quality, locally relevant management education for the developing world. By harnessing the power of a network of over 100 leading business schools on 6 continents, GBSN facilitates cross-border collaboration and knowledge sharing, advancing management education that delivers international best practice with local relevance. Professor Andonova’s involvement with GBSN dates back five years, when she first joined the Universidad de los Andes as an Associate Professor.
“Professor Andonova brings a wealth of experience and insights gained from her leadership at the Universidad de los Andes and her many accomplishments as a researcher and professor,” said Soumitra Dutta, Chairman of the Global Business School Network Board. “She will strengthen our board’s breadth of talent and experience in the world of entrepreneurship and business education.”

Prof. Veneta Andonova is Associate Professor of Business Strategy and became Dean of Universidad de los Andes School of Management, Colombia since November 1, 2019. She obtained her doctoral degree in management from Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Spain and has thought for some of the top business schools in Latin America. She is an accomplished educator, entrepreneurial mentor and researcher. Her scientific contributions have been published in high-ranked international journals in economics and management and she is a co-author of two successful books: Multilatinas: Strategies for internationalization (2017) and Entrepreneurial ecosystems in unexpected places (2019).
GBSN’s Chief Executive Officer is supervised and guided by the Board of Directors.
