Simon Wilkie has been appointed as the Dean of Faculty of Business and Economics at Monash University.
Professor Wilkie has extensive experience in higher education, as well as appointments as Chief Economic Policy Strategist at Microsoft Corporation and Chief Economist with the US Federal Communications Commission.
Most recently, Professor Wilkie worked at the University of Southern California as a Professor of Economics. He also headed USC’s Department of Economics and the USC Center for Communication Law and Policy.
Professor Wilkie will begin his role as Dean on January 7, 2019. His expertise and research centers around game theory and its application into business strategy, economic and regulatory policy design, and the economic of the communications industries.
Professor Wilkie has his MA and PHD in Economics, and graduated with high honors in Economics from the University of New South Wales.
