What is the GBSN DHL GoTrade Fellowship?
The DHL GoTrade Fellowship is designed to partner selected postgraduate business students with small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in developing and least developed countries. The aim is to enable SMEs to access the global market and to enhance student development with practical learning opportunities.
The Fellowship teaches SMEs and Fellows about the value of cross-border trade and gives SMEs the tools to access the global marketplace. This program creates meaningful experiential learning opportunities for top-performing business students, who will learn through collaboration with SMEs how to operate in often ill-defined markets, with scarce resources, in less structured environments.

We are excited to share a unique opportunity for GBSN faculty and experts to volunteer as mentors in the LIFT Data Program, an open innovation initiative led by the Central Bank of Brazil in partnership with Fenasbac.
The program supports 20 competitively selected project teams developing data-driven solutions using public databases, spanning areas such as finance, sustainability, digital transformation and financial inclusion.
These projects are now in a critical development phase, working toward a proof of concept by July 31st. Throughout this process, teams can request ad-hoc mentorship sessions with specialists in areas such as technology, product development, finance, economics, or sustainability. That’s where your expertise and mentorship can make a meaningful impact.
About the Mentorship Experience:
Project teams review a list of approved mentors and request sessions based on expertise alignment.
If selected, you will receive a summary of the project, proposed goals, agenda, and supporting materials to prepare for the session.
Sessions are virtual, typically 1 hour, and entirely voluntary and flexible based on your availability.
Mentorship is not guaranteed, as it depends on project demand, but it’s a valuable way to engage with cutting-edge innovation and expand your network, and you’ll be supported by the LIFT Data team along the way.
Mentoring will take place from now through July 30th.
What is the LIFT Data program?
LIFT DATA is an open innovation program that promotes the development of technological solutions based on the analysis of public data. Created by the Central Bank of Brazil (BCB) in partnership with Fenasbac, the program challenges companies, data scientists, developers and experts to create solutions for issues relevant to society, related to the dimensions of the BC# Agenda. The 2025 edition is focused on data-based solutions for sustainability and green financing challenges.
Count me in! How do I sign up?
Interested in being considered as a mentor? Don’t delay! Teams have an intensive three-month period to develop their proofs of concept.
Complete the interest form to indicate your interest (don’t forget to indicate that you were referred through GBSN!). The LIFT Data team will assess your profile in terms of fit with the program and the business areas and, if approved, you’ll receive a message directly from Open Innovation at Fenasbac inviting you to complete a formal profile accessible by the project teams.
Background: The transition to a net zero economy is a key component of mitigating and adapting to climate change, which poses a range of potential threats to human rights. An enormous amount of financing must be mobilized to support these activities. At the same time, the human rights risks associated with greening the global economy—including mining of critical minerals and green energy production, among others—are gaining growing attention. However, the business and human rights literature has not yet dealt extensively with the complex connections between climate change and sustainable finance for a transition that respects human rights while facilitating efforts to save humanity.
This exploratory workshop aims identify and map current and emerging research by scholars who work on this topic and explore opportunities for further collaboration. The intention is to host a symposium and organize a special issue or edited book volume on this topic in the near future.

While it will take place during the 11th UN Forum on Business and Human Rights, it is open to non-attendees.
