Strathmore Business School Decides to go Premier

Symphony_DixonLong-time member school, Strathmore Business School (Nairobi, Kenya), is the latest to join GBSN’S Executive Board. The Executive Board includes schools that reinforce GBSN’s mission in outstanding ways. In 2016, Strathmore is eleven years farther along its journey to transform leadership and reinvent global business. In its lifespan, Strathmore partnered with several GBSN member schools including: Harvard Business School Ð Institute for Strategy and Competitiveness (USA), Lagos Business School (Nigeria), IESE Business School (Spain), Nanyang Business School (Singapore), Asia Institute of Management (Philippines) reflecting an international team effort in shaping GBSN’s network and helping manifest the GBSN vision.

The award-winning business school proudly owns responsibility of “influencing over 7,500 business leaders, policy makers, professionals, and thought leaders in Africa” (sbs.strathmore.edu). In 2014, it hosted the Association of African Business Schools (AABS) 7th Annual Conference themed “The Role of Business Schools Building Lasting Institutions in Africa”. Earlier that year, the Kenyan business school partnered with IBM Research Africa and the Ministry of Industrialization to launch the Business Environmental Delivery Unit.

As a member school Strathmore demonstrated academic excellence, regional and national leadership, and dedication to GBSN’s mission for six years. Strathmore’s mission, “service to society” will only be enriched as it joins the executive board. GBSN is more than confident in Strathmore’s ability to manage this premier level of membership.
