Ann Harrison Named Dean of Berkeley Haas School of Business

GBSN member Berkeley Haas School of Business has appointed Ann Harrison as dean. After more than a decade, Richard Lyons has stepped down as dean.

Ann Harrison is currently the William H. Wurster Professor of Multinational Management and Professor of Business Economics and Public Policy at the Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania.

Prior to joining the Wharton school in 2012, Harrison served as director of development policy at the World Bank. She also served as a professor in the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics at Berkeley from 2001-2011.

She earned her bachelor’s degree from UC Berkeley with a double major in economics and history, a PhD in Economics from Princeton University and and a dipl™me d’Žtudes universitaires gŽnŽrales from the University of Paris. She is a research associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research and a member of the United Nations Committee for Development Policy.

Ann Harrison will step into her new role as dean in January 2019.
