Building Trust for a Shared Future

What is the Victoria Forum?

The Victoria Forum, hosted by the University of Victoria and the Senate of Canada, promotes constructive, evidence-based dialogues across a broad spectrum of economic, environmental, and social issues. The Forum organizes critical events, facilitates meaningful discussions, enhances educational programs, and advances strategic initiatives in critical areas such as impact investing, regenerative capitalism, and reconciliation with Indigenous Peoples. Initiatives align with the UN SDGs, especially related to SDG 16 – Peace, Justice & Strong Institutions and SDG 17 – Partnerships for the Goals.

What is the Victoria Forum Video Contest?

The Victoria Forum Video Contest is a video contest hosted by the Global Business School Network (GBSN) and The Victoria Forum. The competition will challenge students to produce original, unpublished videos sharing experiences and perspectives to inspire efforts to build trust for a shared future.

Entries should describe opportunities to drive change, as well as illuminate the fault lines dividing local communities. Contest organizers and sponsors are seeking entries that are richly contextualized and real, including accounts of actual experiences and stories of courage, grit, and transformation. Most importantly, we are seeking videos that have the potential to shift the conversation in meaningful ways and foster collective action towards a more inclusive and sustainable world. That means videos should not only describe problems but also move us towards solutions.

Entries are accepted in each of the following four categories:
